Pikesville Jewelry Designs has proudly served the community from the same location for more than 40 years. Today, the store is owned and managed by Master Jeweler Amilcar Samudio and operates as a family-owned and operated business.

For our family, exceptional service begins with treating every customer like one of our own. We take the time to listen, understand each occasion, and provide personal guidance, fine craftsmanship, and incomparable value.

The Jeweler

A Craft Passed Down Through Generations

Amilcar Samudio’s journey as a jeweler began in Panama, where he learned the craft from his father and became a second-generation jeweler.

After moving to the United States, Amilcar joined Pikesville Jewelry as a jeweler, working alongside the store’s previous owners, Richard and Marc. Determined to continue developing his skills, he spent his days at Pikesville Jewelry and his evenings working at a jewelry store in Columbia Mall.

He embraced every experience and opportunity to deepen his knowledge, refine his craftsmanship, and build the expertise that would ultimately lead him to become a Master Jeweler and the owner of Pikesville Jewelry Designs.

Amilcar especially enjoys helping customers imagine what a piece of jewelry can become—whether creating something completely custom or redesigning a meaningful piece they already own. A visionary and talented artisan, he brings skill, creativity, and personal attention to every project.
