Returns & Warranty
How to return a piece, what you get back, and what our one-year limited warranty covers.
Please read this before you buy. If anything here would be a problem for you, call 410-653-3030 first and we will talk it through — that is easier than sorting it out afterwards.
You have 14 days
A return has to be requested within 14 days of the day you received the piece, or the day you bought it in the store. Call 410-653-3030 or write to [email protected] within those 14 days and we will tell you how to get it back to us.
Please talk to us before sending anything back, so we know it is coming and can look out for it.
The condition it has to be in
Unworn, unused and in perfect condition, with everything it came with:
- its original packaging and box
- any accessories, links, certificates or documents that came with it
- your receipt or proof of purchase, where that applies
What cannot be returned
Anything made or changed for you specifically. Once a piece has been altered for one person it cannot go back on the shelf for anyone else, which is why this is firm:
- special orders placed for you
- custom and made-to-order pieces
- anything engraved
- rings that have been sized, and pieces that have been shortened, lengthened or otherwise altered for you
What you get back: store credit
An approved return is refunded as store credit, not as cash and not back to the card or account you paid with. You can use that credit on anything we sell or on any work we do.
The credit does not expire. There is no deadline to use it and it does not lose value over time.
Who pays the return shipping
You do, if you simply changed your mind. We recommend a service with tracking and insurance, because until the piece reaches us it is still your parcel.
We pay it when the fault is ours: if the piece arrived damaged or defective, if we sent the wrong thing, or if something went wrong because of a mistake on our side. In that case call us and we will arrange the return at our cost.
One-year limited warranty
For one year from the date of purchase, we cover defects in materials and workmanship in the piece itself, and in any work carried out by our own workshop. If something we made or repaired fails because of how it was made or repaired, that is ours to put right.
What the warranty does not cover
Jewelry is worn, and wear is not a defect. The warranty does not cover:
- normal wear and tear, including thinning, scratching and the dulling of a finish
- knocks, crushing, bending and any other impact damage
- loss and theft, including stones lost after an impact
- misuse, or use the piece was not made for
- water damage to a piece or watch that is not rated for water
- accidents
- lack of proper care and maintenance
- repairs, adjustments or alterations made by anyone other than us
How a warranty claim works
We look at the piece first. We do not promise a replacement before we have seen what happened, because what the piece needs depends on what is actually wrong with it.
Once we have examined it, we decide and explain to you whether it should be repaired, replaced or settled as store credit, and we tell you what we found. If the problem falls outside the warranty, we will say so and quote you for the repair instead.
Manufacturer warranties
Some pieces come with their own warranty from the maker. That warranty is between you and them, with its own terms and length. Ours does not extend it, replace it or add anything to it, and we do not make promises on another company's behalf.
Bring us the piece and its papers and we will tell you which warranty applies and help you use it.
If you are not sure
Call 410-653-3030 during store hours, Mon–Fri 10:00–17:00 · Sat 10:00–15:00, or come to 1350 Reisterstown Rd., Pikesville, MD 21208. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you keep something you are not happy with.
