The terms you agree to when you buy from us or ask us to work on a piece.
These terms apply to this website and to what you buy or order through it. The store is Pikesville Jewelry Designs, 1350 Reisterstown Rd., Pikesville, MD 21208, reachable at 410-653-3030 and [email protected], open Mon–Fri 10:00–17:00 · Sat 10:00–15:00.
Using this website
The text, photographs and designs on this website belong to Pikesville Jewelry Designs or to the brands we carry, and are here for you to decide what to buy or ask about. Please do not copy them for commercial use.
Prices and product information
Prices are in US dollars and are shown on each product page. We describe every piece as accurately as we can, and we say whether it is in the store or has to be ordered.
Mistakes happen. If a price or a description on this website turns out to be wrong, we will tell you before we take any money, and you decide whether to go ahead.
Placing an order
An order on this website is a request to buy, not a finished sale. The sale is made when we confirm the order with you, once we have checked that the piece is available. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and you will not be charged.
Payment
Online payment is not available on this website yet: no payment method is connected, so nothing can be charged here. Until it is, we arrange payment with you directly, in the store or by phone.
Shipping
We ship within the United States. The amounts shown during checkout are estimates: the final cost depends on the destination, the weight and dimensions of the package and the service chosen, and we confirm it with you before anything ships.
Returns and warranty
Returns and our one-year limited warranty are set out in full on their own page, and those conditions are part of these terms. Special orders and pieces that have been customised, engraved, sized or altered for you cannot be returned.
Repairs and services
Repairs, appraisals, engraving and watch service begin once we have seen the piece and agreed with you what will be done. Anything we say before that is an impression, not a quote: the quote is what we agree in person.
If we open a piece and find something we did not expect, we stop and call you before going further.
Appointment requests
When you send an appointment request through this website you are asking for a time, not booking one. Nothing is held or reserved automatically. We call you to agree the time, and the appointment exists once we have spoken.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for doing properly what we agreed to do, and for the pieces we sell being what we said they were. We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, accidents, loss, theft or work done by someone else, which is also what the warranty says.
Nothing in these terms takes away any right the law gives you as a consumer in Maryland.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Maryland, where the store is.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the end tells you which that is.
